Theming in progress at the Hogwarts Castle refurbishment. Today, and yesterday. Varying colors are applied to individual stones. Additional layers of paint for overall stone color will have translucency. When complete the theming will have visually appealing variations.

This area of the Hogwarts Castle refurbishment was recently revealed. Arrow at left at a detail that will likely be repainted by use of a boom lift. Two arrows at right where scaffolding was secured to the building's steel frame. Holes to be patched and themed.
Scaffolding fully removed from this completed area of the Hogwarts Castle refurbishment. This area was behind scrims, so there's no way to know for certain, but the repainting process was likely similar to what we can see now in open areas of work.
