Theming details revealed at a tower of Hogwarts Castle, after repainting. Age and weathering is part of the painting process, including forms of algae. In foreground of 1st photo are spots of moss, Painting will continue. Moss later removed. Causes spots like in other pics.

Algae texture added as random spots on stone being repainted in the Hogwarts Castle refurbishment. Zoom into the first photo ... the algae has depth! The stone color variations have become more appealing and natural now. After overall translucent stone colors were applied.
