An I-4 message board says that the new Turkey Lake Rd ramp opens tomorrow May 2. Eliminates the congested left turn of Sand Lake Rd WB to Turkey Lake SB. Arrows in this aerial photo (today) show how Sand Lake Rd WB and I-4 WB will share the new ramp.

Longtime Islands of Adventure fans remember when this tree was near the Lagoon. It's special: another tree grew around a palm tree. The tree-pair was moved here when VelociCoaster construction started. It's recovering from the harsh February freeze. High branches still brown.

A Crepe Myrtle starting to bloom in Seuss Landing. Notice how this tree has natural branching. These trees do not need heavy pruning ... the so-called "Crepe Murder".
Starbucks in Port of Entry in Islands of Adventure may have had a technical rehearsal (soft opening) today. Was in a several week refurbishment.

Repainting continues on these two towers of Hogwarts Castle. Overall stone colors are being washed over the painted individual variations in stone. It's starting to look familiar. Most repainting done behind scrims. This is a rare opportunity to see the theming process.
