Today and yesterday in the repainting of the roof of the primary tower of Hogwarts Castle. Darker hues applied over random base colors. The randomness adds to visual appeal.

A look at the theming in progress at the Hogwarts Castle main tower. Talented artists have painted base colors of the shingles for visually appealing variations. More colors to be added in layers of varying translucency. Mimicking uneven weathering and stains down the surface.

It's fantastic when we can observe the skill and talent of theming. Some of the work at Hogwarts Castle seen here. New base colors on different stone blocks will gradually be painted with varying darker hues and translucency. Mimicking stone variation, and weathering.
